Canelo the two parts of two different times

You might haven't heard of the Canelo, also known by his scientific name by "Drimys winteri", is an native tree of Chile, this one tree is one of my favourite because it have something very special, in the history of the evolution plants had been experimenting a lot of transformations adapting to their enviorement, also the world has been changing a lot through the time, and plants have been evolving and transforming with the creation of new elements to they physiology, the most primitive plants are know as conifers, those are all the plants that looks like the pines, and the plants more evolved are know as broadleaf, this one are all the plants with flowers, there's a very remarkable difference from this two kind of plants, and that one is the presence of flower in broadleaf and the presence of cones in the conifers, and "Canelo" is the combination from this two worlds, because "Canelo" have some similarities to the conifers in they vascular tissue, so you can describe "Canelo" as a conifer, but this tree has flower, so it's a broadleaf, well because of this confusion there's a teory that says this tree is the evolutionary pass or the adaptation of coniferes to broadleaf, this tree has some magic thing, "mapuches" the native people of Chile used the leafs of the tree for rituals, and also there's a pepper made from the leaf that you can see in the gourmet food. Preserving this species is really important for the humanity because it's the crearly representation of a time were things changed a lot in the world.
